Universal Orlando has unveiled its ninth haunted house for Halloween Horror Nights in 2026. This haunted house is based on a movie currently showing.
The latest maze to be announced is “Evil Dead,” which is inspired by the film of the same name that was released earlier this month by director Sebastian Vanicek (“Contagion,” “Crocs”). It was produced in 1981 as part of the Evil Dead series, directed by Sam Raimi and starring Bruce Campbell.
HHN House recreates the moment that begins in a secluded villa in the woods.
“The nightmares become more intense as guests adventure through the haunted house, encountering ferocious Deadites at every turn and then succumbing to the forces of evil,” a Universal news release said.
Halloween Horror Nights, an after-hours ticketed event at the Universal Studios Florida theme park, will run for 49 days from August 28th to November 1st.
The “Evil Dead” house will also be unveiled at Universal Studios’ Hollywood version of Horror Nights, which begins September 3rd.
HHN is planning 10 haunted mazes for the 2026 edition of Orlando. Homes announced so far include mazes based on the original “Hellraiser” trilogy, the fifth season of “Stranger Things” and the Oscar-winning film “Sinners.” Additional houses original to this event include Jack & Oddfellows: Chaos & Control, Cybergoria (The Cold World Machine), Invasion: Alien Abduction, Madland: Caged Cannibals, and HR Bloodengutz Presents: A Hollywood Fright-Tacular.
