Legoland Florida is expanding its Halloween event with an interactive destination called Brick-or-Treat Street.
The event’s theme transforms the Winter Haven theme park into Mischief Town, with six life-sized LEGO monster houses inspired by the brand’s famous minifigures. Participants will encounter plant monsters, spider ladies, mummies, scarecrows, and more.
“We’ve transformed a classic Halloween tradition into a playful neighborhood filled with candy, surprises and magical moments that families will remember long after the season ends,” park president Brian Batica said in a news release.
The annual Brick-or-Treat event is designed especially for families with younger children and is included in regular admission to Legoland. Brick-or-treat activities are available September 5-6, 12, 19, and 26 and October 3-4, 9-11, 16-18, 23-25, and 30-31.
“Brick-or-Treat has always aimed to create a Halloween experience that families can enjoy together, and this year we’re taking it to a whole new level with the addition of Brick-or-Treat Street,” Vatica said.
Other Halloween activities at Legoland include group activities such as the Zombie Cheer Crew and the VIM Dance Party hosted by Lord Vampire. Group build of big scarecrow and pumpkin. Candy corn scavenger hunt. Trick or treat throughout the park. And the 4D movie “Big Monster Chase”.
After-sunset activities include the Potion Mischief Light Trail and the “Monster Skytacular” drone show.

Lion & Hyena Ridge, an immersive animal habitat, officially opens on July 25 at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay. One of its selling points is its status as the nation’s largest lion federation living in facilities certified by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums. SeaWorld Orlando reported that rescue teams have returned nine rehabilitated green sea turtles to the Atlantic Ocean. Most animals suffered from cold stress and severe malnutrition during the winter cold snap.

The Orlando Science Center will double up on its laser light show during its Stellar Nights event. We are extending regular business hours until 10pm on Fridays and Saturdays through August 1st. Shows in the recently renovated dome begin at 8pm and 9pm, and seating is first-come, first-served. The museum will repeat its opening weekend shows on July 24 (Taylor Swift) and July 31 (Queen), in addition to previously scheduled shows. More information: osc.org

Walt Disney World fans have August 15th circled on their calendars for potential news from D23: The Ultimate Fan Event in California. It’s the day of the Disney Experience Showcase with host Neil Patrick Harris. The showcase will “take fans deep into the creative visions behind what’s to come, and hear directly from the imagineers, storytellers, artists and innovators who bring these experiences to life,” the news release said. Kings Orlando celebrates August 8th as National Bowling Day. On this day, the first 50 people will receive a free bowling ticket, and those who roll a strike on the Lucky Train lane will receive an hour of free bowling on their next visit. The International Drive venue will also be drawing the Nostalgia Con (think ’90s and early ’00s) crowd from August 7th to 9th, when it will offer a cocktail called “Sunny D After Dark” (which includes spicy tequila).
