On a power play, Tkachuk extended the goal streak to five games and placed the Panthers on top when he flipped a point shot from Aaron Ekblad to make it 2-1 at 16:54.

Tkachuk, who terrified his hometown, scored 28 points in a career game against St. Louis.

“He’s rolling,” coach Paul Maurice said. “Hopefully he can continue with it.”

Earlier in the second term, the Panthers lost Samoskevich to an upper body injury.

Rookies are now considered daily for talent who will not return.

“It’s not too bad,” Maurice said of the injury.

Making the most of his trip to Power Play, the Blues were pulled even when Oskar Sundqvist set up a shop in the slot and tilted his point shot to make it 2-2 at 5:18.

Tied the game to a second break, Knight appeared at the clutch at a big stop in a one-on-one fight with Dylan Holloway.

The Knight, who finished with 20 saves, owns a 5-2-0 record in his final seven starts.

“What I’m trying to do in such a situation is ready. Everything is ready,” Knight said. “I just play the pack, get a clean exit, get it on their tapes and get it, and I’m ready. This game is a perfect example of just sticking to it all the way through to the end. is.”

Overall, the third season was an absolute grinder.

The Panthers collected eight shots in goal and surrendered to the Blues only three times.

Following a showdown victory in the neutral zone in the final minute of regulation, the Panthers attacked for one last push to avoid overtime. Taking a pass from Alexander Barkov, Reinhart fired a shot over the net and was turned over by Tkachuk to lock the 3-2 victory.
