Sunrise, Fla. — The Florida Panthers today announced the launch of an all-new Panthers Street Hockey League starting at Plantation Central Park.
Children ages 8 to 14 can participate in the 13-week program, which includes practices, games, and playoffs from September to December. We welcome participants of all skill levels.
The league has two divisions:
Tuesday: U11 (ages 8-11) includes 4v4 gameplay with a goalkeeper Thursday: U14 (ages 12-14) includes full link 5v5 gameplay with a goalkeeper
Required equipment includes sticks, helmets, gloves, shin guards, and elbow pads, which are recommended but not required. All equipment can be purchased directly through the Panthers. The league will employ coaches on an all-volunteer basis, and those coaches will receive discounts on children’s registration fees for the program.
Participants can register as individuals and will be randomly placed into teams. Alternatively, you can register with a friend and request up to two friends to play together on the same team.
