Uber is taking steps to ease the financial burden on its drivers and couriers in the U.S. as gas prices soar. Uber’s initiative will extend fuel discounts and incentives to drivers through May 26 through the Upside app.
Drivers can now save up to $1 per gallon and up to 21 cents per gallon through Shell Fuel Rewards. Savings vary by Uber Pro Tier.
Drivers using the Uber Pro Card can receive an additional 5% cash back when refueling, and top-level drivers can earn up to 15% cash back when refueling. Uber delivery drivers will now have access to weekly mileage-based payments, starting at $5 after 125 miles and increasing to $15 after 250 miles of actual delivery. Click here for details.
Uber also launched Uber Golf this spring, designed to help golfers and their groups get their clubs to and from the course. of the app[Uber Golf]By selecting a tab, golfers can book UberX for up to two guests and their golf club, or UberXL for up to four guests and their club. This promotion is part of Uber Reserve, which allows you to reserve a ride up to 90 days in advance.
