At press time, the weather was on track for Sunny Vibes Market to live up to its bright promise, with mild temperatures in the 80s predicted and plenty of sunshine perfect for the “Sunday Fun Day” vibe of this new regular event.
“It’s all local,” says Glenn Crosson, owner of Ivanhoe Park Brewing Company, which is hosting the third annual Travel and Leisure event.
The Ivanhoe Village brewery is no stranger to outdoor events and is always family and dog friendly. Sunny Vibes is held on the third Sunday of each month.
“It’s a laid-back Sunday outing,” he said, noting that Travel + Leisure always has the right vendors and live music.
“They have enough budget to make it big and fun.”
Also big and fun, La Popola’s burgers are just gigantic, including the Colombian burger and hot dogs.
“There’s not even any wrapping paper in it,” Crosson laughs. “Just because of its size, it comes in its own box. It’s like a little display stand for burgers.”

Additionally, Ivanhoe Park Brewing Company’s recently expanded kitchen will grind products such as pretzels made with house-made beer cheese, Cajun-boiled peanuts and the popular homemade meatballs. For those who don’t usually go to sister brewery Ivanhoe Park Lager House, top chef Jeremy Martin will be bringing his homemade pizza dough to Ivanhood and mass-producing pies for the Sunny Vibes crowd.
Bruno Pizzaiolo, formerly of Gatlin Hall and Pizza, has spun slightly different dough in each location he has worked, Crosson said.
“The great thing is that at the Lager House, you can use a (reverse osmosis) system to create water for your dough that is specifically made for your purposes.”
Along with over 20 local vendors and artisans, this is sure to make the atmosphere all the better.
Food-related vendors include Cookie Whaaaat! and La Macarena Bakery.

Sponsored by the folks at The Owl’s Attic (actually, I just bought a nice new keychain and incense here!), the event features plenty of food stalls, vintage items and more in a “hood that allows for additional market exploration when you find the bargain of the day.”
