Before the Sunshine State’s sweltering summer weather takes hold, there are plenty of spring events happening in Central Florida this weekend.

From ice cream to art-inspired floral decorations, mini golf to bluegrass, there’s something for people of all ages and interests to explore in the greater Orlando area.

Here are 21 ideas for things to do over the weekend of April 10th to 12th.

Orlando Museum of Art’s Art in Bloom: The annual spring fundraiser hosted by the 101 Council brings floral art, fashion, design and special events to the museum. The event will take place over the weekend of April 10-12, with general admission from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 2416 N. Mills Ave. in Orlando. $20 for adults, $12 for children (ages 3-12), seniors, active military and first responders. omart.org

Maitland Jazz & Blues Festival: Featuring 12 big bands on two stages, food trucks, craft beer, concessions and a $5 kids zone. Held at 1776 Independence Lane, Maitland on April 10th from 6pm to 10pm and April 11th from 2pm to 10pm. Free VIP upgrade available. Maitlandjazzandblues.com

Florida Groves Music & Arts Festival: The Central Florida Fairgrounds hosts jam bands, DJs, cannabis vendors, tattoo artists, and visual art. Doors open at 1 p.m. April 11 and 12 at 4603 W. Colonial Drive in Orlando. $89.98 – $159.98 (all ages, kids 6 and under free). floridagroves.com

Florida Film Festival: The 35th annual event opens Friday night and runs through April 19, featuring more than 160 films. The festival will be held at Enzian Theater and Regal Winter Park Village. Individual screenings are $13. floridafilmfestival.com

Orlando Kite Festival brings lots of family fun and STEM concepts to kids

43rd Annual Spring Fling: Sponsored by the St. Cloud Rotary Club, this event takes place at Lakefront Park and features a bass fishing tournament, food trucks, craft sales, live entertainment and a kids zone.
