Corner Chop House is open at Hannibal Square in Winter Park

For now-deprecated Dexter fans at Hannibal Square, there is a new hang to consider: the Corner Chophouse.

Steakhouses from Indigo Road Hospitality Group’s Carnivorous Mind have officially opened their doors by hatched brands including Oaks Steakhouse (Atlanta, Charleston, Nashville, etc.) and O-KU (Alice Beach, Jacksonville, Washington, DC, etc.).

The maker hopes to become a “local destination for steaks, martinis and everyday celebrations. This is because of the quality that stands out even from the concept of the sister steakhouse.

“We have that emphasis on staying local,” Fee told Orlando Sentinel. “We use local providers and we try to incorporate the community around us when we open the door to our neighborhood.”

The fee acknowledges Dexter’s importance in the space.

“It was a memorable place,” he says. “We’re not trying to do the same, but we’re really looking to give the community a place where we can spend a lot of our time, so we’re bringing home a classic American steakhouse that opens early and remains open late.”

And while they’re there, they say they can expect decadent shareworthy aspects alongside Florida seafood, certified Angus beef steaks, craft cocktails and local beers.

Chef Nick Billings says that even just being outside the gate presents the menu hits themselves.

“Scallop plates are already popular, with beef tartare and carpaccios flying out the window,” he says. “Also, the lobster Pappardel has been a huge hit. Everyone loves it, so we want to keep the menu forever.”

He says the team is excited to play seasonally, as they will be more comfortable in the space and the city. According to the plan, menu shifts should occur roughly every three months. According to the rates, they are steakhouses but say “come like you.”

“We want to be there for our guests as a date night or a place for special occasions, but we are also here for a regular night with your family.”

Billings repeats his emotions. “One of the things we took away from Steve Palmer (Indigo Road founder and Chief Vasidary Officer) is that everyone is welcome at our table.”

Brunch already has happy hours on the website, including Billings biscuits and gravy, oysters, caviar and champagne, with $10 martini, Manhattan, traditional fashion, lemon drops and more.
