Orlando’s most beloved (e.g. Tuesday) Hunger Street Tacos has closed its Winter Garden location at Plant Street Market.

The closure that came on September 7 marks a new phase for the company, owner Joseph Creech told the Orlando Sentinel, an exciting venture to be announced in the coming weeks. As for the Winter Park location (2103 W. Fairbanks Ave.), it is “regular business.”

“We are deeply grateful to our incredible team of employees who have put our hearts into this restaurant and our friends at Crooked Can Brewing Company for their partnership and support,” Creech said in a press release.

Creech runs a business with his brother David and his wife Seydi.

“This place is a meaningful part of our Hunger Street journey and we are grateful to the Winter Garden community who have supported us over the years.”

The Plant Street location opened in 2021.

Market spaces don’t sit very long and cold. Plans are already underway for Winter Park’s Jam Hot Chicken to take over the space. Owner/operator Andrew Scala is eager to actively burn at the second location of Jam Hot.

Meanwhile, the Hunger Street team continues to work on celebrating Mexican cuisine, culture and art through other ventures. Details will come soon. Follow HST on Instagram at Instagram.com/hunger_street and stay in the loop.
