With the weekend of July 4th approaching, Orlando and Central Florida offer many luxurious firework displays and other ways to celebrate the holidays.

Independence Day is a special celebration time where people gather for cooking, live music, parties and community events. From Altamonte Springs’ popular events, Red Hot & Boom, to Sanford and Kissimmee, there are plenty of free festivals to choose from in Central Florida on July 4th.

There are ideas to enjoy your holiday weekend.

July 3rd

Mount Dora Freedom on the Waterfront hosts a community of live music, food vendors and fireworks on the shores of Lake Dora. The fireworks and drone show will captivate the crowds on July 3rd at 9:20pm, the eve of the holiday itself. Find a festival that begins at 100 N. Donnelly St. and 310 S. Tremain St. Mount Dora on July 3rd from 4pm. Details: CI.Mount-Dora.fl.us

Baldwin Park Independence Bash features music, beer gardens, food trucks, face painters, balloon artists and more at Baldwin Park Village Centre. The free festival will be held on July 3rd from 6pm to 10pm, with fireworks exhibits being held at 9:15pm. More information: Facebook.com

In its 28th year, Altamonte Springs’ Red Hot & Boom brings the Cranes Roost Park a bigger fireworks display than in the city. In addition to the exhibit at 9:30pm, guests will be able to enjoy live music, food and family-friendly activities. The music lineup includes Steven Cardwell & The Neon Drifters, Relic and Francesca Tarantino after 5. Wheels, glass containers, alcohol, grills, pet drones, large coolers or coolers are prohibited. The event will have a beer garden where you can buy food and drinks. The free event will begin on July 3rd at 5pm at 274 Cranes Roost Blvd. Alta Monte Springs. More details: Altamonte.org

July 4th

Apopka’s July 4th celebration will take place at Apopka Amphitheater, with the Private Stock Band family concert and fireworks show starting at 9pm will include food, children’s activities and festivals at Jason Dowell Weiway in Apopka from 6pm on July 4th. Details: apopka.net

The July 4th celebration at Avalon Park will feature an Apple Pie Baking Contest, Bike Parade, Bounce Park, 5K Run (8am), Vendors, Community Performances and Music. Additionally, there will be a fireworks show in downtown Avalon Park at 9pm on July 4th from 5-9pm. More information: avalonparkorlando.com

Celebration will host its annual Independence Day Parade at 8am on July 4th, with routes that will end at Celebration Town Hall and Lakeside Park. Later that day, the epic epic thing of Celebration’s Independence Day, starting at 5pm, features DJs and live music via Celebration Town Center on July 4th at 9:20pm. Details: Celebration.fl.us

Clermont’s Red, White & Boom will be offering a July 4th celebration with food trucks, family activities and fireworks above Minneola Lake for guests gathered at the Waterfront Park. Enjoy the festival from 5pm to 9pm on July 4th at 100 3rd St. in Clermont. Earlier in the day, runners can participate in the 6th AdventHealth Clermont Freedom 5K ($50 registration). Devary’s Freedom Fest will meet family-friendly activities, vendors, food, live entertainment, firework displays and laser light shows at 9:15pm at Gemini Springs Park to celebrate and find Debary’s 37 Dirksen Drive at the laser light show on July 4th from 6pm to 10:37pm. Details: debary.org

Fun Spot celebrates July 4th with a fireworks show at 9:30pm on July 4th and will open at 10am on July 4th at 5700 Fun Spot Way in Orlando. More information: Fun-pot.com

The Geneva Independence Day Parade and Festival will host the parade from 8:30am to 10am to 10am, and enjoy the community festival at 101 E. Main St. on July 4th. More information: Facebook.com

Island H2O Water Park celebrates its holidays with an after-hours event. Guests can enjoy a water slide after dark, foam parties, DJs, grass games and theme snacks. Fireworks from the Sunset Walk can be seen from within the park. Tickets are available at Kissimmee’s 3230 Inspiration Drive for the off-hours event July 4th from 4pm to 11pm (or $49.99 for meals). Kissimmee’s Monumental July 4th will feature Live Music, Kids Zone, Food Trucks, Fruents and Firforks Show for friends and family to enjoy at Kissimmee Lakefront Park. The free event will begin on July 4th at 7pm on Kissimmee’s 201 Lakeview Drive. Details: kissmimmee.gov

Leedsburg’s July 4th celebration will offer kids activities, carnival rides, live music and fireworks displays at 9pm, with fantastic viewing from across Venetian Cove. The festival will begin on July 4th at 4pm at 201 E. Dixie Avenue in Leesburg. More information: LeesburgPartnership.com

Legoland Florida will host a red, white and booming event on July 4th with a DJ dance party, themed activities, and a fireworks show at 9pm, and spot festivals during park opening hours. More information: legoland.com

Mount Dora’s Independence Day Parade brings Lake County a celebratory patriotic tribute parade. The parade begins at 10am on July 4th at the corner of Donnelly and Seventh Avenue, heading to Charles Avenue. More information: mountdora.com

OCOEE’s July 4th Block Party and Car Show features a block party with free rides, food trucks and vendors from the OCOEE Community Market. Visitors can also enjoy car shows, cornhole tournaments, live music and fireworks displays at Bill Breeze Park. The event will be located on July 4th from 5-9pm at McKey St., 125 N. Lakeshore Drive, Ocoee. Details: ocoee.org

Kissimmee in the Old Town will help celebrate July 4th with live music, car shows and fireworks. The festival begins on July 4th at 3pm and the fireworks show is at 5770 W. Ilro Bronson Memorial Highway in Kissimmee at 9:30pm. More information: myoldtownusa.com

Orlando’s 48th Annual Fireworks at the Fountain invites the community to live entertainment and a lively fireworks display just above Lake Eora’s Fountain. Family and friends will be able to meet for a patriotic performance by the Orlando concert band and see the Mayor of Orlando’s Buddy Dyer before a fireworks show is not permitted outside alcohol and fireworks at 9:10pm. Coolers, umbrellas, chairs, picnic blankets and well-behaved pets are permitted. Find a free festival on July 4th from 4pm to 10pm at 512 E. Washington St. in Orlando. Details: orlando.gov

Sunset Walk’s promenade celebrates Independence Day on July 4th with a family-friendly party featuring live music, DJs, street performers and nighttime fireworks. In Kissimmee. More information: sunsetwalk.com

Star Spangled Sanford brings music, food, children’s zones and drinks to Fort Melon Park with a fireworks show at Lake Monroe at 9:15pm, at 9:15pm for alcohol, glass containers, pets and golf carts. Find the celebration July 4th from 7pm to 10pm at 600 E. 1st St. in Sanford. Details: sanfordfl.gov

St. Cloud’s annual July 4th celebration will feature live music, national car shows, food courts, games, kids’ bike parade and a fireworks display at 9:15pm on July 4th at 1104 Lakeshore Blvd. With St. Cloud. Details: stcloudfl.gov

Tavares City’s July 4th Celebrations include parades, fireworks, live music by Hootz, vendors, food trucks and children’s zones. The parade begins at 5pm on Main Street and kicks off on a seaplane overpass. Fireworks will be at 100 E. Ruby St. in Tavares on July 4th at 9pm. More details: tavares.org

AdventHealth July 4th Watermelon 5K will celebrate the day with a family-friendly morning celebration featuring “Ice Cold Watermelon” and “American Pride.” After a 5k run there will be a watermelon meal contest and a free kids run. Registration is $45 before race day and $50 on race day. The run begins on July 4th at 7:30am at 251 S. Park Ave. in Winter Park. More information: TrackShack.com

Winter Garden’s July 4th festival kicks off a parade of children across the country at 10am, with pancake breakfasts starting from 8am to 10am on July 4th. The park party begins on July 4th at 6pm with Relic music, followed by fireworks at 9:15pm at 31 W. Garden Avenue in Winter Garden. More information: cwgdn.com

Winter Park’s annual July 4th celebration brings family-friendly cookies, mini pie and water (finally supplying), plus live musical performances by kids’ zone, bike parades, Rock Winter Park schools, and live musical performances by brass ensembles and choirs at the Bach Festival in Central Park. The Morse Museum is free to enter from 9:30am to 4pm on July 4th. More information: cityofwinterpark.org

Winter Springs Celebration of Freedom brings together a variety of vendors, featuring live entertainment and fireworks displays at Central Winds Park. Sparklers, pets, alcohol and glass items are one of the items that are prohibited in the park for this celebration. Offer on July 4th from 5pm to 9:30pm on the 1000 Central Wind Drive in Springs in Winter. More information: winterspringsfl.org
