As Florida’s slow, summer season begins in earnest, many of the popular outdoor events in the Orlando area wait for them to return until they have already passed this calendar year or cooler temperatures arrive. However, there are still many events that focus on the locals as the community enjoys its first weekend in June.
The Central Florida calendar for the weekend of June 6th-8th includes a movie night featuring the 9th Annual Community Rainbow Run, “Toy Story,” Lake Cleanup with Central Florida Reconnaissance, Orchid Sale, and a vintage market. Orlando Area Art lovers can enjoy their favourite art walk at Face Arts Village Orlando and the opening of the 44th Annual Jury Student Exhibition at the Creal De School of Art.
Here’s how you can enjoy this sunny early summer weekend in Central Florida:

This race aims to serve as evidence of Orlando’s resilience and love. Proceeds from the event will go towards Orlando United Pulse Memorial, which will bolster Orlando, a nonprofit organization’s project.
