Orlando Pride Month: Event Celebrates LGBTQ Culture

Pulse memory at First United Methodist Church honors the 49 lives lost on June 12, 2016. The ceremony will include names of 49 angels, 49 bell tolls, and comments from family members and survivors. Attend the event on June 12th at 5:30pm from 142 E. Jackson St. in Orlando. Details: pulseorlando.org

The Enzian Theatre will be holding a selection of “Reel Pride” films during June. Communities can enjoy films such as Paris Is Burning (1990), Vampyros Lesbos (1971), My Beautiful Laundrette (1985), The Birdcage (1996), Egghead & Twinkie (2023), and Tongues Unity (1989). The film will be held at 1300 S. Orlando Avenue in Maitland starting June 3rd. Details: enzian.org

Pride and proud Pub Crawl heads to Thornton Park for an evening drink and a cheerful evening at the district’s most popular bar. Tickets ($20 online) include free drinks and discounts at multiple venues. The crawl will begin on June 14th at 6pm at 808 E. Washington Street in Orlando. More information: orlandopubcrawl.com

Love & Liberation: Boldly and Rude June’s Pride Celebration will bring the community to the Central Florida Fairgrounds for a free family event featuring black people, strange artists, drug performers, local business vendors, food trucks, DJs and more. The event that will appear with Pride Orlando will take place on June 21st at 4603 W. Colonial Drive in Orlando from 2-6pm. More details: comeoutwithpride.org

What we are proud of in the cloud is bringing together the St. Cloud community for free community events featuring vendors, food trucks, live entertainment, drug bingo and petting zoo children’s zones. The event announced by St. Cloud Pride Aliance will take place on June 21st at 5452 Jones Road, St. Cloud, from 2pm to 7pm. More information: EventBrite.com

The official Pride Bar Crawl brings drinks to the Orlando venue in downtown Orlando for celebrations such as drinks, drug shows, Pride Swags and food specials. Tickets are $25 online. The event will begin on June 21st at 4pm at 19 S. Orange Avenue in Orlando. Details: crawlwith.us

The zoo sunset offers a proud celebration at the Central Florida Zoo and Botanical Gardens, featuring music, food and festivals from the LGBTQ+ community and allies. Tickets for the evening event are $6 in advance or $8 on-site. Family 4 packs are available for $44, including hot dogs and soda. The celebration will be held at 3755 W. I’m talking to Pride on LGBTQ+ Open Mic Night, hosted by Beacon Health. The event also features dinner, drinks and mixing. Tickets start at $26 to $1,000 per person for presentation sponsorships. The evening gathering will be on 742 E. Michigan Ave. in Orlando from 5 to 9pm on June 28th. More information: EventBrite.com

Zebra Youth Pride Pride Prom will invite LGBTQ+ youth ages 13-17 to participate in the celebration at a private location where they propose a donation of $15. The theme is “Rainbow Night”, with a semi-formal to formal dress code, with expressions of gender in all forms being welcomed. The event will be held on June 27th from 6pm to 11pm. Outcon Orlando highlights the creativity and diversity of the LGBTQ+ community and welcomes fans of anime, comics, movies, TV shows, games and more. Tickets are $10 online. The event will be held in Orlando on June 28, 4603 from 10am to 7pm. More information: Eventeny.com
