are you ready?
To close this week’s regular season, the Florida Panthers will soon know who will face in the first round of the 2025 Stanley Cup playoffs.
On a three-game winning streak, the Defending Cup champions improved to 47-29-4 after a 3-2 victory over the Buffalo Sabres at Amerant Bank Arena on Saturday.
Owning 98 points, the Panthers took second in the Atlantic division this week, two points behind their cross-state rivals Tampa Bay Lightning (100 points).
With just two games, the Panthers close out the regular season in a row.
After hosting the New York Rangers on Monday, they will close the regular season at Tampa Bay on Tuesday with a game where they can determine their home ice advantage in Round 1.
“Our idea is to build a game for the playoffs,” Carter Verhaege said after his victory over Buffalo on Saturday. “Who knows what’s going to happen. I think we’re the most likely to play Tampa, but we definitely do.”
