Time to head north of the border.
After losing 6-2 to the Seattle Kraken at Climate Pledge Arena on Sunday, the Florida Panthers will wrap up a four-game road trip with three games in Canada starting with a key matchup against the Vancouver Canucks this Tuesday at 10pm ET.
“We want to play in the correct way and we don’t want to lose it,” Ietu Luostarinen said after the loss. “Even if this year is not our year, we have to keep it going and carry it into next year.”
The Panthers (69 points), who have a record of 33-30-3, are 11 points behind the Detroit Red Wings (80 points) for the second place wild-card spot in the Eastern Conference.
After the visit to Vancouver, the road trip will head to Alberta, where the Panthers will play back-to-back games against the Edmonton Oilers and Calgary Flames on Thursday and Friday.

make a jump
After his first two NHL games, Mike Benning is starting to look like a pro.
“He was great all night,” Sam Bennett said after Benning’s debut against the Columbus Blue Jackets. “He seemed like the right person.”
The rookie blueliner, who played on the second defensive pair with Niko Mikkola, averaged 17:07 on the ice and gave the Panthers a 58.18 offensive advantage at 5-on-5.
Benning, who scored his first career point in his debut, had his second assist on Sam Reinhart’s game-winning goal in overtime.

Reinhardt update
The Panthers will be without their leading scorer on this trip.
After scoring the game-winning goal in overtime in a 2-1 win over the Blue Jackets last Thursday, head coach Paul Maurice announced after Saturday’s practice that Reinhardt would not accompany the team on its next road trip.
“He’s working on more than one thing,” Maurice said.
The 2025 Zelke finalist currently leads the team in goals (29), points (61), power play goals (11) and short-handed goals (3).
