TORONTO – Jordanpur scored 34 points, and the NBA-Worst Washington Wizard won their second straight game, beating Toronto 118–117 on Saturday night, deciding that the Raptors would be delayed in their running layup at the buzzer.

The team will meet again in Toronto on Monday night.

Bilal Coulibaly added 18 points and 10 rebounds to help Washington improve to 13-49 in his second consecutive win. The Wizard defeated Utah at home on Wednesday night, then headed to Toronto to hold a two-game set in Detroit and a two-game set in Denver, Portland and Utah.

RJ Barrett led Toronto with 23 points, while Jakob Poeltl added 21 points.

Take home

Wizard: Poertre had given the Washington fit, but Washington took advantage when he was benched all night due to a few minutes limit.

Raptors: Toronto had a few players, including Imanuel Quickly (rest), Grade Dick (bony bruises in the right knee), Ochaiagbaji (sprains in the left ankle), Jacobe Walter (right hip flexor), and Jonathan Mogbo (nasal fracture).

Important moments

Shed’s teammates rushed through the court after appearing to have hit a buzzer beater for the victory. However, a video review showed that the ball was still in his hands when the buzzer rang.

next

The team will meet again at Scottia Bank Arena on Monday night.
