Madame Tussauds Orlando has introduced the Angela Basset wax figures to its Icon Park Attraction lineup. The actress came there to meet her portrait.
Her new figure was chosen by the Bassett star and wears a black and gold jumpsuit inspired by the red carpet look (farm’s Rio “Sunny” V-neck sequin numbers).
“They made it right, it’s just beautiful,” said Bassett, who grew up in St. Petersburg. “It’s like humility to have a career that brought two wax numbers at Madame Tussauds.”
Bassett praised the numbers overall, but he explained the details in a video released by Madame Tussauds.
“I love her lips. I love the colour of her lips. They made it right,” she said. “I love my eyes. I remember when I chose my eyes. I have very dark eyes, and they made it right.”
Aside from the grand universe, what happened to the attractions this summer?
Bassett met with the Tussers creative team, including sculptors, colorists, hair experts and stylists. This is her second person to the company. The first stands in Madame Tussauds Hollywood in California.
“Angela was practical throughout the entire process, from choosing the perfect look to seeing the early details of the figure,” said Paul Gould, Orlando’s general manager. “That level of involvement always makes this person more realistic and personal and I can’t wait for the guests.”
After meeting herself, Bassett blends into charm, interacting with numbers from Morgan Freeman, Johnny Depp and Lady Gaga, and is a co-star in “American Horror Story.”
Bassett’s screen credits include “Black Panther,” “What’s Love Do It,” “Malcolm X,” “Waiting To Exhale,” “American Horror Story,” and “9-1-1.”
