A wax figure of actor Simu Liu will be added to the all-star lineup at Madame Tussauds in Orlando and New York.
Liu, whose credits include the upcoming “Avengers: Doomsday” and the role of Ken in “Barbie,” recently met the twins in New York.
Set at the Orlando location, the figure wears a suit inspired by Liu’s appearance at the 2024 People’s Choice Awards. Tussauds officials said the cranberry-colored outfit includes a dress shirt, matching dress shoes and socks, and accessories that reflect the actor’s red carpet style. The piece will be on display in mid-April at Madame Tussauds Orlando at Icon Park on International Drive.

The Liu figure planned for the Madame Tussauds New York attraction will be wearing a powder blue Versace suit, inspired by his appearance at the 2023 premiere of the Barbie movie in Los Angeles. A matching harness with gold hardware layered over a white shirt was paired with dark green loafers and accessories inspired by the jewelry and watches worn at the event.
“The costumes are very elaborate, especially the fact that they recreated the custom Versace that I wore to the ‘Barbie’ premiere,” Liu said.
“Thank goodness it’s me and not a character. … This is a sim,” he said.
Liu rose to fame after appearing in the 2021 film Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. In February, she made her Broadway debut as Mary’s teacher in “Oh Mary!” He will remain in the position until April 21st.
According to Tussauds, the final result of Liu’s figure required the collaboration of 20 studio artists, who began the process with an in-depth sit-down session with the actor. Over 200 measurements were recorded and reference photos were taken from multiple angles. The sculptor created a clay model before creating the wax cast that formed the basis of the figure. The artist applies paint to recreate the skin color, and hair is inserted one by one.
