Legoland Florida is set for the International Lego Festival event

LEGOLAND Florida and its visitors are taking part in global events with an emphasis on creative play and experiences inspired by Fortnite video games. The Winter Haven theme park and six sister attractions in California, New York, UK, Germany, Denmark and Korea will be hosting the LEGO Festival, which begins Saturday.

“This is our first global event,” said Shay Davis, entertainment specialist at LEGOLAND Florida. “So it’s the first event that all Legoland Parks are on sale at exactly the same time.”

The event will be divided into five new play zones: Music, Dance, Creative, Gaming and Relaxation.

“It’s very similar to when you end up going to music festivals, all different stages, and all different experiences,” Davis said.

So, although participants may watch the band’s fight in the music zone, they will go to a dance party featuring DJ Goodvibes and meet Adventure Pealy, a Banana-fortnite Minifigure, but there is building activity nearby as well.

“If you like building with Lego, there’s something in every zone, and it’s all customized to the zone,” Davis said. This includes adding to the Build and Bloom flower wall in the chillout zone where preschoolers may also encounter Hop’s characters.

The Game Zone has multiple activities, including shows that include Fortnite-themed games.

“We’re also like a cold area where you can see different YouTube streamers playing through the game,” Davis said. “The game has a sushi bar. We did that in the gaming zone where you can make sushi from Lego bricks like in the game.”

There is also a brick model of Fortnite’s embrace team leader. According to LEGOLAND, the figure had over 21,000 bricks, which took the builder 75 hours to complete.

LEGOLAND FLORIDA is planning a new roller coaster for 2026

“People who have played the game will definitely have a chance to step into the gaming zone and nerd about the game,” Davis said.

The festival will be held on Saturdays and Sundays from May 3rd to June 8th. It is included with regular Legoland entrance and is also available for regular park attractions.
