NEW YORK (AP) – Ongoing issues on Google Cloud disrupt a popular online service around the world on Thursday.
Tens of thousands of users on Spotify, Discord and other platforms began to notice service issues early in the afternoon, according to Downtector, which tracks outages.
The Music Streamer Spotify outage report, particularly peaked around 3pm ET before it got off, with some users beginning to say access was restored.
According to Google’s cloud status page, the incident in which the system affected clients in the US and overseas is stated. The company also posted that the service is beginning to recover after engineers have been identified and started to mitigate the issues.
“We identified the root cause and applied appropriate mitigation,” says Google Cloud. It added that there is no estimate as to when the issue will be completely resolved.
Hosting a substantial amount of services on the Internet, Google Cloud makes most of its money from Google’s ubiquitous search engine, but it has become the fastest growing part of Alphabet Inc.
