Kennedy Under Stars, an after-hours event at the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, has been publishing themes for a quarter of a century. It is set up for Y2K nostalgia.
The event is set at 6:30pm on August 30th and will have access to many of the attraction’s exhibits, including SpacePort KSC, Shuttle Fire Experience, Space Shuttle Atlantis, as well as the Stargaze Experience through a telescope provided by Florida Tech’s Ortega Observatory.
Plus, there are activities inspired by the recent century, including video DJs at Rocket Garden, a techno DJ dance party at NASA Central, mini golf under the Saturn 1B rocket, science experiments, live entertainment, and sparkling lounges and bar areas.

“This event will be an unforgettable night that brings together 2000s nostalgia with today’s cutting-edge space attractions and celebrates the wonders of space exploration,” said Terin Protezze, chief operating officer of the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, in a news release.
Space-themed costumes are allowed during the event, but not costume masks that hide faces and weapon-like props.
Entry to Kennedy under the star is $65. Parking is free. Food and drinks are available to buy. Visitor complex annual pass holders receive a 30% discount on food and retail items.
