Disney today announced the passing of Tom Kane, a talented voice actor who narrated greetings and directions to visitors on the monorail system at the Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Florida.
In addition to recording Monorail, Kane’s other work includes narrating animated series, including narrating Jedi Master Yoda, Admiral Ackbar, Admiral Yularen, and the opening characters in the Lucasfilm/Disney feature films and television series The Last Jedi, Rogue One, The Force Awakens, Solo, The Clone Wars, Rebels, Droid Tales, Lego Star Wars, and Robot Chicken Star Wars. He is best known for voicing the narrator, Qui Gon Jinn, and others. more. Kane, a University of Kansas graduate, not only provided the voice for the monorail system, six Star Wars rides and attractions, and the largest fireworks show in Disney history that closes the park each night.
