The incident is said to have occurred after DOGE members visited the Institute’s headquarters earlier this year.
Government Efficiency (DOGE) introduced the Department of Justice (DOJ) claims to remove US peace accounting data.
Doge leader Elon Musk and his team sat for an interview that aired Thursday with Fox News host Jesse Watters, explaining some of the results of the advisory committee auditing various federal agencies.
“They deleted terabytes of financial data to cover their crimes, but they don’t understand the technology, so we recovered it,” Musk said in the post.
Epoch Times cannot independently verify the existence of these contracts, and Musk does not provide contract verification or data deletion and recovery.
The American Institute of Peace did not respond to requests for comment up to the time of publication.
On Thursday, Doge members told Watters that the incident occurred after the team visited the agency’s headquarters.
“A few hours after we entered their headquarters, we found out that their lead accountants had actually deleted terabyte accounting records from several leaders,” a member of Doge said. “Congress will certainly want to know where the funds it has been allocated are heading.”
He added that Doge introduced the suspected data deletion to the Department of Justice and the FBI.
“In this case, we introduced the FBI and DOJ to the evidence from the accounting example.”
The Department of Justice and the FBI did not respond to requests for comment by publishing time.
After Doge investigated the US Peace Institute, almost all 300 staff members were fired, Doge members were appointed and headed the agency.
