ORLANDO, Fla. (WFLA) – Orlando police announced Tuesday that they have removed a wayward alligator that was found taking shelter in an apartment complex. Officers say the 6-foot reptile was cornered at the bottom of an apartment staircase on Debra Lake Drive. Body camera footage showed officers covering the alligator with towels to disorient and calm it down in order to safely capture it. PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WMBB) – A 24-year-old man was arrested Tuesday morning on suspicion of holding a Panama City mother and her two young sons hostage in an attempt to kill them. According to court documents, Christopher Miles was visiting the victims from out of town around 3 p.m. Monday when an argument broke out between him and his mother. Officers said Miles became enraged and threw his mother onto the couch and began hitting her in the back with his clenched fists. He then allegedly strangled her.
