Elsa and Anna finished their work. Kristoff too. This is fun to say and also pretty accurate, as the animatronics inside Epcot’s Frozen Ever After ride have been upgraded. It’s a figure all around from the neck up, and most observers are giving the project a thumbs up. Imagineers say the figure’s head has a silicone skin and more realistic articulation. Previously, faces were created using projection. This is what the ride, an improved version of Maelstrom, has looked like since it opened in 2016. Disney says technology has improved in that time. So if you’re a science hater, you…

Entering the sixth week of the 2026 Florida Legislature, the House and Senate continue to pass bills out of committee, but at a slow pace. The Republican-controlled Florida House passed 24 bills, and the Senate passed 25. Only two bill bills have passed both chambers. Aside from the billing bill, neither chamber has taken up the other’s bills, highlighting Tallahassee’s current impasse. Additionally, nearly 900 bills have not been considered in either the House or Senate’s assigned committees, indicating that many bills will not cross the finish line this Congress. Additionally, many committees and subcommittees have held or are beginning…

February is not only National Hot Breakfast Month, but it’s also National Pancake Month. It’s a great excuse to invalidate this recipe, but the truth is a little more selfish. I miss my friends. Thanks to this topic, I was able to spend some more time with him this week. Years ago, in a Facebook thread about nostalgic foods, I had a quick conversation with the late, great Joseph Hayes, and realized we shared a love for IHOP’s Country Griddle Pancakes. I don’t think this is a menu we’ve seen since the early ’10s. It was really delicious. IHOP has…

“We have finally defeated the Democratic Party’s climate change madness,” Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Lee Zeldin said after the Trump administration announced it would repeal President Obama’s 2009 greenhouse gas regulations imposed on automakers to combat “climate change.” The White House said this is the largest deregulatory package in U.S. history. Zeldin said this could save U.S. taxpayers more than $1.3 trillion and reduce car prices for consumers by $2,400. How bad were President Obama’s regulations for the auto industry? Bruce de Torres, director of communications for the American Federation of Small Businesses, said the regulations will cost businesses trillions…

Florida is fortunate to have one of the strongest and most active senior communities in the nation. Our state is home to seniors who want to enjoy their retirement with purpose: spending time with their families, volunteering in their communities, supporting local businesses, and pursuing healthy, independent lives. Every day, I hear from older adults how modern medicine, strong relationships with their doctors, and steady access to treatment help them stay active and engaged. That’s why it’s so important that Florida carefully evaluates any proposals that affect the medications older adults depend on. Reducing costs is a goal we all…

It’s called Trump Rx. The Trump administration says the plan is to reduce health care costs and ensure Floridians have access to the medicines they need at dramatically lower prices. “Americans can now purchase some of the most widely used and most expensive medicines on the market at deep discounts,” the White House said. Health experts say the program is specifically designed for uninsured patients and those whose insurance doesn’t cover certain drugs. Examples of low costs include: Insulin is available for as little as $25 per month. Ozempic and Wegovy, which help treat diabetes, heart disease, obesity and other…

The group also reported the same for Joe Biden (50%) and Richard Nixon (48%).…

A new economic data report reveals that American consumers and businesses are bearing the overwhelming share of the costs associated with U.S. tariffs imposed in 2025, challenging President Trump’s claim that foreign exporters are primarily paying the burden. The average U.S. tariff on imported goods will rise to about 13% in 2025, a significant increase from less than 3% previously, according to the report. The researchers concluded that nearly 90% of the total economic burden of these tariffs ultimately falls on U.S. businesses and households, rather than foreign producers. The survey results show that U.S. importers absorbed about 94% of…
