Dahler: Do you have a favorite costume you’ve ever made? Randell: I haven’t worn many costumes here. I have always made very simple and easy choices. This year I have to say, don’t tell the boys, but we’re going to be dodgeball, or mean Joes. This year will probably be the best year yet. Dahler: What was your costume last year? Randell: Last year it was Mario Kart. I was Mario, Samo (Samoskevich) was Wario, and Spencer (Knight) was Luigi. Maybe that was actually (my favorite). Dahler: Who do you think will have a good costume this year? Randell: We…

Some poll results show that 94% support limiting interest rates on medical debt. 90% support limiting the ability of collection agencies to remove individuals’ homes, belongings, and cars due to…

It takes a lot of effort to get ghosts with creepy smiles to socialize. The latest installment of the Disney-produced YouTube series “We Call It Imagineering” delves into the details of the Haunted Mansion, a perennial spooky attraction at Magic Kingdom, Disneyland, and other theme parks. We paid particular attention to the eye-catching wallpaper and the pitch of the wind sound effect. The 28-minute production features conversations with current and former Imagineers, including some who worked with Walt Disney himself. The show heads overseas aboard the Disney Cruise Line and features a Haunted Mansion Parlor aboard the Treasure Ship. But…

Attendance at Epcot increased 1.3% to 12.13 million, and attendance at Disney’s Hollywood Studios increased 0.3% to 10.33 million. These numbers put Epcot at No. 8 in the world and Hollywood Studios…
Florida is supposed to police the state’s biggest sources of water pollution: agriculture and development. Instead, regulators and lawmakers have protected the major industries at nearly every turn, a Tampa Bay Times investigation has found. The approach has resulted in hundreds of waterways across Florida growing dirtier for decades — including the Caloosahatchee, where algae blooms have fueled fish kills, and the Indian River Lagoon, where scores of manatees starved to death as the ecosystem neared collapse.“People know what it would take to clean our waterways — it’s not rocket science,” said former state Sen. Lee Constantine, an Altamonte Springs…
Halloween falls on a Friday this year, so if you’re anything like me (drinking in the driveway, handing out candy, and entertaining (and sometimes scaring) the neighborhood kids with my vampire fangs), it may have been years since you actually hit the road in your holiday costume. Fear not, haphazard Orlandons, for I bring you ideas. The options are plentiful, from Enzian’s annual party at Eden Bar (which is so great that it’s my choice for multiple Halloweens in a row on the way home) to less formal ticket-free options like The Courtesy Bar’s spooky courtyard or Oviedo Mall’s Bite…
