A Gainesville woman has been charged in federal court with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Florida. Jomekia Archer, 46, of Gainesville, could face up to 15 years in prison if convicted. U.S. Attorney John P. Heekin announced the charges. Federal prosecutors announced that a Honduran national was convicted of identity theft and related aggravated fraud charges and sentenced to two years and two months in federal prison. Nydia Roxana Maradiaga-Flores, 28, was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Stephen D.
