(WFLA) – A Port Charlotte man has been arrested after saying he attacked a couple outside Publix with bug spray when he didn’t let them skip in front of them at the checkout line. The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office responded to Publix around 2pm on Sunday after receiving a call about a physical altercation. Florida officials are asking the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) to set greater penalties for states that do not require truck drivers to learn English proficiency standards.
