JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A Jacksonville man pleaded guilty to federal charges related to drug trafficking and possession of a firearm, U.S. attorney Gregory W. Keho announced Tuesday.
Thomas Edgar Hall, 36, has admitted two counts dispensing fentanyl and two counts owning firearms to promote drug trafficking. He faced a mandatory minimum sentence of 10 years in federal prison and was able to come back to life. No judgment date has been set yet.
Hall sold fentanyl and crack cocaine six times between May and August 2024 to a secret agent to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office Officer, court records show.
In September 2024, law enforcement officials executed a search warrant at the location where drug sales occurred. The search discovered drug-related tools, including six firearms, various types of ammunition, and beakers with drug residues, mirrors, razors and blenders. Officers also discovered crack cocaine and more than 60 grams of fentanyl.
The case has been investigated by the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office and is being charged by US attorney Brenna Falzetta.
This is part of the Department of Justice Project Safe Neighborhood (PSN) initiative, a national initiative aimed at reducing violent crime and gun violence through coordinated enforcement strategies and community involvement.
