MIAMI, Fla. (WFLA) – A Miami couple has been arrested after being accused of sexually abusing and abusing a teenage girl they met at a church.

According to WTVJ, the investigation began in November 2024 after his parents met police at age 13.

After meeting couple Edwin Erasmo Vazquez Vazquez, 50, the girl informed police of the incident that she said happened between July and December 2023.

The girl told police that she was sleeping in the bed the couple shared with their two children when the first incident occurred.

In one case, police said Garcia Castro instructed Vazquez Vazquez to kiss her teen, resulting in a bruising on her lips.

In another incident, the girl told police that both her husband and wife had joined the 13-year-old Ai Nd.

Police said the girl did not move forward at the time because she was afraid of retaliation from the couple.

Police arrested Vazquez Vazquez and Garcia Castro, who were taken to the Lee County Jail for booking.

The investigation is still underway, with rewards of up to $5,000 for additional information about the case.

Anyone with information should call Miami-Dade Crime Stopper at 305-471-TIPS.
