Bradenton, Fla. (WFLA) – Several events in the Downtown Bradenton and the Bradenton Riverwalk area have issued a traffic advisory February 21-23.

On Friday, February 21st, the River Regatta opening night begins at 5:15pm at Rossi Park, followed by a drone and fireworks show at 7:15am.

Parking at Rossi Park will be closed to the public from 5am and will be closed until Sunday. Parking is available by VIP parking permit holders.

Live: A cool, sunny Friday, a calm, mostly dry weekend

Residents can use the parking lot between the Riverdance apartment and Riverson apartment.

Gulf Island Ferry Service will also be closed on Fridays and Saturdays.

Road closures will begin at 4am on February 22 at the Bradenton Area River Regatta and resume after the race. LECOM 5K starts at 8:30am

Here are other closures we expect on the 22nd:

1st with Green Bridge 9th St. W. and Green Bridge 12th St. W. (Old Main St.) Manatee Ave. Ave. W./Barcarrota Blvd. 10th St. W. from the city centre parking garage to Riverwalk 3rd Avenue is open only for eastbound transport between 9th St. W. and 1st. It’s there. Cross perimeter defined by red buoys during boat racing and Friday fireworks shows

On February 23rd, the Pittsburgh Pirates Spring Training Home Opener will be held at 1:05pm at Recom Park.

Drivers should expect traffic delays in this area.
