TAMPA, Fla. (Hill) – President Donald Trump on Thursday supported Sunshine Gov. Byron Donald (R-FLA.) if House Republicans bid for the role.

“A worthy battle to have”: Florida Attorney General targets targets
Earlier this week, the president shared an internal vote showing Donald will lead in a hypothetical competition for the governor of Florida. Polls found House Republicans received 31% support, while Lieutenant Colonel Janet Nunez (R) won 4%, while agricultural commissioner Wilton Simpson (R) won 3% support .
Donald told several Sunshine Republican donors that he is planning to take part in the race.
“As governor, Byron will have a loud voice and will work closely with me to advance America’s first agenda,” Trump said in a social media post. “He secured our borders, stopped immigrant crime, strengthened our troops, defended our veterinarians, restored our economic strength, promoted American energy control, and under the besieged Second Amendment. I will protect them.”
In the past, Donald has formed a strong alliance with the president, supporting him to his own state governor, Ron DeSantis (R), in last year’s Florida Republican presidential primary. Trump also cried out to Donald during his first parade in January.
“Rise up, Byron,” Trump said at the time. “What a future this is?”
Donald appeared to be keen on Trump’s oval office returns last month.
“When Americans see deportation and deportation happening, they’re going to be like “thank you,” Donald previously told Fox News. “When they see the borders closed, they’re going to say, ‘This is what I voted for.’ When they see peace beginning to erupt all over the world, they will be like, “This is the stability we wanted.” โ
“Daddy’s back,” continued the Florida Republican.
