HIARA, Fla. (WFLA) – A Florida man has been accused of intentionally burning the car while his wife was sitting inside.
Over the weekend, a neighbor in Hialea Gardens woke up around 6am and caused an explosion outside.

“It was awake, what was going on, the explosion was too loud,” neighbor Miguel Hernandez told NBC affiliate WTVJ. “It wasn’t ‘Paw Pow’.
Hialeah police said the explosion burned Noel Luis Mestre as his wife was in the passenger seat.
WTVJ said police determined that the spouse’s body would be “burned beyond recognition.”
According to arrest reports obtained by WTVJ, the couple got into their car and left their home before abruptly stopping. They were caught up in a conflict and his wife tried to leave the vehicle but was unable to, the report said.
That’s when Louis Mestre was said to have come out and exploded.

Hialeah police said he would go home to remove his clothes and use a knife to stab him in the stomach. He later called 911 for help with his stab wound, according to the report.
The neighbor described Louis Mestre as quiet and strange, describing his wife as a happy and kind person.
According to WTVJ, Ruiz Mestre remains hospitalized. He faces charges related to murder and arson upon release.
