LOXA Hatchee, Fla. (WFLA) – A Florida nurse was seriously injured after a male patient attacked at Palms West Hospital in RoxA Hatchee on Tuesday, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded to the incident around 1:20pm after 33-year-old Stephen Scantleberry committed a “greater battery for nurses” in the patient room on the third floor.

A nurse with unknown identity was taken to St. Mary’s Hospital with serious injuries. Details of these injuries and current status have not been revealed.
Scantlebury has been arrested and has received medical permits. The sheriff’s office said he is facing accusations of attempted murder.
