PUNTA GORDA, Fla. (WFLA) — Two members of the motorcycle club were arrested on various charges Sunday, according to the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office.
On Saturday, around 6:30pm, Charlotte County deputies, along with Punta Gorda police officers, responded to the shooting near the Gilchrist Bridge.
During the investigation, lawmakers found that multiple motorcycles were believed to have been involved in the road rage incident.
According to the CCSO, the bike that matches the descriptions of people who are allegedly being used in the shooting were identified at a Shell gas station in Punta Gorda.
When they arrived at the gas station, deputies found and detained motorcyclist, who was a member of the Phantom Motorcycle Club.
The Phantoms Motorcycle Club is a group of “one percent” who perceive themselves as part of the 1 percent that do not fall within the scope of the law.
The lawmakers said they searched the members and found that they had concealed marijuana and weapons, including firearms, brass knuckles and knives.
Two of the club members, Chris Cismore, 34, and Daniel Davis, 48, have been arrested, and CCSO said they were charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Davis was also charged with carrying a hidden weapon.
This is an ongoing investigation.
