PORT EVERGLAES, Fla. (WFLA) – A cruise ship with 169 passengers and crew docked with norovirus in Florida on Friday.

Rotterdam, the Netherlands America, docked to the Port Everglades after nearly two weeks of travelling through the Caribbean and Central America.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention began monitoring the outbreak of norovirus on ships on February 7th. The CDC report states that 152 (5.8%) of the 2,614 passengers are ill. The disease affected 17 of the 969 crew, or 1.8%. People affected by the disease have been reported to experience vomiting and diarrhea, which was determined to be caused by norovirus.

The Rotterdam outbreak is the fourth outbreak of norovirus reported to the CDC this year.

This comes days after the ship returned to Tampa with 168 sick passengers and crew. The Royal Caribbean sea glow also reports that he has experienced diarrhea and vomiting, but the source of the disease is unknown, according to the CDC.
