A CBS News/Yougov poll of 2,175 US adults found that 53% of voters gave to President Trump, and 70% said he is keeping his campaign promises.
About the problem:
Illegal immigration
•59% support the deportation of illegal immigrants, while 64% say the right move is to send US troops to the US-Mexico border. Holding immigrants in large detention centres, voters had a variety of views.
Doge Commission and Elon Musk
GOP voters prefer to wear masks. Republicans support him having some influence on his role in dealing with government waste, but not necessarily “many influences.” Most Democrats said Musk should be detained.
Government expenditure
Great support from Republicans who believe Trump is on the right path to reducing waste and foreign aid spending.
Customs
Tariffs are a concern among voters. Those voted did not support higher tariffs and believed they would raise the prices of imported goods.
Foreign policy
Trump has got a good number for his approach to dealing with the Israeli-Hama conflict.
inflation
Inflation was the biggest issue among voters in the CBS poll. 66% said the president didn’t pay appropriate attention to lower prices, and nearly 50% of Republicans said the same thing. However, most voters said they don’t expect Trump’s policies to lower prices anytime soon. CBS pollers have found that most voters believe it will take at least six months for it to happen
Polls show voters like what they’ve seen from the Trump White House so far, and many admit that they’re doing more than they expected.
CBS pollers said voters described Trump as “tough”, “energy”, “focus” and “effective” and stated what he had promised during the campaign.
