FORT MYERS, Fla. (WFLA) – A man was arrested Wednesday after being accused of trying to seduce a 12-year-old walk from a bus stop, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
FHP troopers said a resident of an apartment on Eastwood Acres Road informed them of an incident involving the resident’s daughter.
Residents said his daughter had missed the school bus and was walking home as a large man continued on foot as she tried to join the conversation.
The trooper spoke to a 12-year-old boy who supported the story.
FHP has identified the suspect as 37-year-old Tomask Stoffer Kalva (37).
The trooper said Calva told them he didn’t know that the girl was a minor.
The trooper then spoke to the apartment manager and confirmed that Calva had not joined the apartment lease officer to ask him if he was going to rent the apartment.
After conducting a criminal history check, FHP said Calva had previously filed charges in California in connection with a lure, assault with intent to rape and assault with a deadly weapon.
The FHP arrested Calva and accused him of loving, loving, seducing, seducing and stalking children under the age of 12.
They said Calva had previously been arrested in Florida on the same charges.
