Police: Binghamton double murder suspect believed to be in Florida

BINGHAMTON, NY (WIVT/WBGH) – Last week, searches for potential double homicide suspects related to the two murders of Binghamton moved further south from eastern central Florida.

Police searching for suspects in double murder of Binghamton

Scott Mitchell, 50, is currently an interested person, hoping to be questioned by Binghamton police about his potential involvement in the deaths of 58-year-old Daniel McCullough and 55-year-old Marshall Vanoven. 5.

The GoFundMe campaign was launched for two men killed in Binghamton

Forensic pathologists have determined that the cause of death was murder. McCloe and Vanoven were said to be friends with each other.

Two Binghamton men’s death methods declared murder

Mitchell was allegedly fled to South Carolina on February 8th, when the Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office responded to a suspicious vehicle in the 1000 block of Dorchester Shortcut Road. It has been confirmed that the vehicle belongs to Mitchell. Since then, Volusia Sheriff’s Office has posted a photo of Mitchell on Facebook in a statement and description.

The VSO believes Mitchell is probably on foot in Florida’s West Deland area.
