In 2022, Democrats and the Biden administration praised the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) as the biggest investment in climate and energy in American history.
“This bill will enable America to tackle the climate crisis, promote environmental justice, and ensure America’s position as a global leader in domestic clean energy manufacturing,” the Biden White House said.
Part of that bill expanded the IRS to hire 80,000 new agents. Reducing drug costs and treatments. However, the main focus of the bill was to implement some of the “Green New Deal.”
“It’s like a green new scam,” says Founder and Senior Fellow of Junk Science at Steve Milloi’s Institute for Energy and Environmental Law.
During the campaign, President Donald Trump pledged to end the “new green scam.” Miroy and others are encouraging Congress to help him do so by repealing any subsidies under the Inflation Reduction Act.
“The left has sought radical green proposals like the IRA, with no basis. Most climate phobia have never been materialized in the last 50 years, and catastrophic predictions met. It’s not,” Milloy said.
Milroy, a former member of the Trump EPA transition team, said it may take some time to cancel items handed over in the IRA bill in 2022.
States like Florida are set to receive billions to increase the production of items such as solar panels. But Milroy says this will cost consumers and taxpayers more than $1 trillion.
“We need to stop cutting checks for fraudulent activities. When the inevitable lawsuit comes, we argue that all Green’s new fraud spending is wasted, fraud and abuse. President Trump is fraudulent If the court says taxpayer money has to be wasted, Republicans will do it in 2026. The problem has been resolved,” Milroy said.
