TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) – Florida Governor Ron DeSantis gives a flag with half-staff in honor of the pilot killed in a helicopter and passenger jet crashing into the air near Washington, D.C. on January 29. I ordered a flag to fly.

Captain Jonathon Campos died when the plane carrying 64 people collided with an Army Black Hawk helicopter near Reagan National Airport.

“Captain Campos has shown his love for aviation and his love for flight to the service of others, with every friendly encounter with his students, and every agency announcement with his shed and crew. “That’s what I meant,” said a memo from the governor’s office.

DeSantis ordered the Florida flag to the Florida flag in Volsia County, Campos’ Honors on Tuesday.
