Earlier on Saturday, heavy snow fell on northern and central Wisconsin sections, with the Medford community reporting 13 inches on Saturday. Some locations in northern Michigan won more than 0.5 feet on Saturday, according to the National Weather Service.
The next storm is expected to move quickly, Oravec said. It will form throughout the plains on Tuesday and push eastward, bringing a strip of snow to the south of the state this weekend.
