On Tuesday, US Representative Anna Paulina Luna became a viral.
A frank conservative has posted thousands of answers and re -posting, submitting a bill in order to add President Donald Trump to Mt. Rashmore. The message was displayed more than 1 million times.
The National News Media put a megaphone on Luna’s proposal. Newsweek, Huffpost, and The Hill each published separate works on ideas.
But there seems to be a problem with Luna’s plan. The National Park Bureau states that it is impossible to add President to Mount Rashmore.
The construction of the monument ended in 1941, when the original sculptor Gutzon Borglum died. A park official said to add a president.
The monument is currently contained the face of George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln and Theodore Roosevelt. McGee Bollinger told the leader, intended to praise the first 150 -year president of the US history.
It is not clear that the National Park Bureau still feels that the additional president is still impossible. The agency did not respond to the request of the comment email on Thursday.
Sculptor Stuart Simpson told the Washington Post in 2017 that it would take about $ 64 million for such a job.
LUNA’s office did not respond to comment requests.
In her X post, Luna, who represents a part of Pineras County, described Trump to be added to the monument for “remarkable achievements for our country.”
The full text of Luna’s bill was not available online on Thursday afternoon. However, the title has indicated that the Secretary of Inspector will “arrange the sculpture of President Donald J. Trump at the Rashmore National Memorial Hall.”
The bill is assigned to two House of Representatives.
