San Jose -This was a painful eye.
Eventually, an important step toward returning to the lineup, Aaron Ekublad, the top pair of defenseman, joined the Florida Pansters again to practice at the SAP Center on Friday.
On Saturday, Panthers kicks off the fight against sharks.
“I have a chance to play tomorrow,” said Paul Maurice.
Eight of the eight out of the last nine games (including the past seven times) have been injured in the upper body and have been skating for the past few weeks.
After his return, No. 5 was skating in his usual place alongside Gustav’s abandonment.
“He slipped violently and he prepared violently,” Maurice said about Ekbrad’s rehabilitation.
EKBLAD, an important blue line, will guide Florida’s defenseman with assist (18) and points (20), despite missing time due to his injury. He was also ranked third in the hit (59) and blocked a shot (56).
Before the injury, Ekbrad also existed in the top power play and penalty keying unit.
“I will touch all three phases of our games -an important minutes,” Maurice said about Ekbrad. “We missed him. We were out of Mikkora in the early January, but he went out. We are a big man who clears the net front with a blue line. I missed it.
The next update of EKBLAD’s potential return will continue on Saturday morning skating.
stay tuned.
