Parts of North Florida were placed under a winter storm warning as snow fell across parts of the South Tuesday.
A wide swath of North Florida was under a winter storm warning, with up to 4 inches of snow and sleet expected to fall, including up to 3 inches in Tallahassee. The last time it snowed in Florida’s capital was in 2018, but it lasted just 20 minutes, according to the Tallahassee Democrat. The most snow ever recorded in one day in the area was in 1958, when 2.8 inches fell, news outlets reported.
