
TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — An 18-year-old from Titusville has been identified as a passenger on a Carnival cruise ship who died over the weekend, ABC News reported.
Authorities were investigating the death of a passenger on the Carnival Horizon cruise ship as it returned to Miami on Saturday.
Anna Kepner has been identified as the 18-year-old boy who died on the cruise ship.
Kepner was a senior at Temple Christian School in Titusville.
“You were a bright, kind-hearted young woman whose presence brought warmth and vitality to the classroom. Your curiosity, kind spirit, and concern for those around you left a lasting impression on me and everyone who knew you,” Temple High School said in a Facebook post.
Carnival Cruise Lines is working with the FBI’s Miami office to investigate the incident.
Carnival Cruise Lines said in a statement: “Our focus is supporting our guest’s family and cooperating with the FBI.”
FBI Miami spokesman James Marshall said the FBI responded to the scene but had no further information.
Details regarding her death have not been released.
