“Samo (Macky Samoskevic) made a great play for Forsey, and Forsey saw me go to the back door,” Bennett said. “I just chased it away a little bit because I couldn’t really find it.”
Mikko Rantanen came up in the clutch for the Stars and scored the tying goal late in regulation by redirecting a pass from Sam Steel into the cage to make it 3-3 at 17:19.
Steele gave Dallas’ offense a boost and had three assists in the loss.
Bobrovsky, standing tall in the overtime frame, denied two one-time shots to force a shootout at the end of overtime.

With Bobrovsky staying hot in the shootout and not allowing anything to pass, Marchand entered the zone with speed and slipped the puck into DeSmith’s five-hole for the only goal the Panthers needed in a skills contest, sealing a 4-3 victory.
“I liked our ability to keep playing our game,” said Marchand, who leads the Panthers in scoring (T-6) and points (12) this season. “We knew we could break through in the end. It was great to get the two points in overtime and in the shootout.”
