MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) – Miami-Dade Fire Rescue rescued the pilot and passenger after a plane crashed in the Florida Everglades on Tuesday.
The plane flipped over in a remote area of the Everglades, 32 miles west of Miami Executive Airport.
According to Miami-Dade Fire Rescue, air rescue teams searched the scene after receiving reports of a plane crash at 2:44 p.m. and later found two people. The passengers deplaned and were stranded on the wing until help arrived.
Due to the remoteness and terrain of the Everglades, Air Rescue South conducted a hoist operation.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue released a video showing helicopter crews safely removing people from the plane and transporting them to Miami Executive Airport.
Police said the pilot and passengers did not report any injuries.
