BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) – Three people were injured in an “ambush” shooting in Cocoa, Florida Monday afternoon, Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivy said.
The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office said shooting investigations are ongoing in the Clear Lake Road and Minnie Street areas south of Florida State’s Cocoa campus.
Ivy said some people got out of the car and began shooting at the parked vehicle.
The three victims were taken to a local hospital.
“It seems like this was an ambush that happened. It’s kind of retail, if that’s the case, it looks like a very isolated incident. There’s no indication that, from what we can know, it’s not the two groups that knew each other.
All the victims were in parked vehicles.

No other information was available immediately.
