PORT Orange, Fla. (WFLA) – A Florida man was arrested Wednesday after officers said they led them in a fierce car chase in an attempt to escape a traffic stop.

A video posted by Volusia County Sheriff’s Office shows police pursuing a vehicle driven by 24-year-old Christian Will Ottinot.

During the pursuit, Ottinnott reached 118 mph per hour as he tried to evade Port Orange police.

In the dashcam video, you can see Ottinot running through traffic and running at a red light.

The pursuit ended when the pit operation carried out by VCSO Sheriff Mike Chitwood was driven by Ottinot and spun the vehicle into a strip in the center.

“Hopefully, when they show off all the videos from the dash cam from what happened in Port Orange from their delegate, it puts together fascinating photos for the judge.

“This is how people get killed.”

The Volsia County Sheriff’s Office arrested Ottinnott and charged him with fleeing law enforcement, reckless driving and Florida super speeding violations, along with other criminal traffic quotes.
