TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Florida Attorney General James Usmier has announced six arrests following the Summer Hurricane Operation, a multi-agency undercover agent targeting online child predators in North Florida.
The three-night surgery, carried out July 10-12, was the first in Franklin County, and was involved with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE), the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, Bay County Sheriff’s Office, Leon County Sheriff’s Office, Leon County Sheriff’s Office, Tallahas Department Office and HSI’s Attorney General’s Office of Justice. Uthmeier said the arrest shows commitment to protecting Florida children. “Six predators will be caught and faced prosecution, including one illegal foreigner who targeted Florida children,” he said. FDLE Commissioner Mark Glass and Franklin County Sheriff AJ “Tony” Smith noted the dedication of investigators and analysts who helped put the suspect into custody.
The individuals arrested are:
Colbey G. Adams – Illegal use of communication devices in miners, and related counts in solicitation of harmful communications in miners. Jarvis Arteza Baker Jr. – Accused of attempted trafficking minors and travels to meet minors and additional driving-related crimes. William Jared Breski – He was arrested twice for charges including failing to register, soliciting minors, communicating obscene material, and harmful communication. Joshua Heath Lolley – was charged with traveling to meet a minor and misuse of a communication device. Christopher Edward Nabors – accused of traveling to meet Minor, sending harmful materials, and misuse of communication devices. Jose de Jesus Salazar Gomez – charged with traveling to meet a minor and misuse of a communication device.
The HSI agent confirmed that Gomez was an undocumented immigrant from Mexico and placed him with a deportation detainee. Authorities said two additional suspects remained on a large scale, with all cases being actively investigated.
Officials urged at 1-800 (1-800-843-5678) that alleged child exploitation to report local law enforcement agencies or the National Centre of Missing & Exploiting Children.
